Well, it's a brand new day and i'm walking around old town.

I feel cool as shit, because I got no thoughts keeping me down

So here is the dealie-i-o I now have the internet but (mais) my email account was wiped out from lack of use. Everything from when I was 20 on up is totally (oshittenich) gone. I figured that I'd just use my PDA as a back up and restore everything. But lo! Not plugging your PDA in for two months will also wipe that out. Well hurray, hurray. I'll just throw back my legs and pollute my britches with delight.

All of this is only important to you, the reader, if you wish me to email you. Mail me and I'll mail you.

On the bright side, I did just reprove to myself just how much people over-value computers and the internet. All hail the rise of third party hosting and storage! My ass.

The good news (happynicht)is that everything else is, uh, good. For serious.

What time is it? October? I gotta go drinkin'. Later.

(good-byeden)

All the talking fools,
what it means,
last I've seen,
baby it's all me.

well...

I've really no idea what to write this time or even, more to the point, why I am. Just felt like jotting something down I guess.

Things keep moving forward. I accepted an offer on the house. It spent a total of eleven days on the market and I had a four person bidding war going. The winner was already pre-approved and her housing inspector was there three days later. Looks like all will be said and done with my check in hand in the next week or two. Then the moving begins.

Good-bye Mass.

In other news I actually interviewed for a new job a while ago at a medical company after I was scouted by the owner. Looking forward to that, it'll be a new challenge. Heh, it's a good thing I like Coca Cola, the owner's folks invented it.

I've entered another reading binge partially because I enjoy it and also because I like hanging out in book stores once in a while. I find that it's still good for the brain.

It's been a couple of months now and things are going well with Leslie and I. We get along really well and laugh a lot. I like her. Rumor has it that she likes me too.

That's about it for now, catch ya'll later. Hope you're well.

He was tripping,
he was ripped and
he was high on life.

Yo. Things are really good and keep improving. I'm drinking right now so bear this in mind as you read.

Got actual hard numbers for the sale of my house. Pleased doesn't begin to describe the numbers the agent gave me. I am hooked up big time to put it mildly. Booya!

I'm finally getting some nibbles on the ring I'm selling at prices I'd consider fair. That's only relevant to those readers that want to ride my future Harley. I love stupidly rich people in love. They're stupid. And rich. Ha.
If I wasn't the shit...

My life would be much harder. Fortunately I am for just such an emergency.

Today marks the second time I've used the internet since I moved here in December. Conclusion; I don't really care about the internet.

Roger is having his birthday party this upcoming Saturday. It's going to be a huge bash with a live rock band that some of his friends are in. These guys are good enough to be on the radio and I'm going to try to get some more CDs from them for mine friendz back home.

I've used the boat a bunch since I brought it back with me and now I feel like more of myself. People still think I'm nuts when I'm piloting down the river racing like a jet ski, but I don't care as long as everyone is having fun. My Jolly Roger is getting more and more ripped and torn which to me, is perfect. Some things should just never look new. I'm going to get Roland to let me borrow his .44 revolver out at the firing range one day so I can put some bullet holes in the bad boy. Now that would be hot.

Gotta run, starting the bonfire and hot dogs. I'll catch you on the flip side.

Shladies and gentlemangs, the Yankee Reb is alive!

The job is going well (I'm the foreman in a fence building company in S.C. if you didn't already know)and I'm enjoying quite a few things. Some of them being...

1) Living 10 minutes away from the beach.
2) 70 to 80 degree weather.
3) An awesome boss/friend.
4) Palm trees and cold beer
5) Kickin' ass.

So as it turns out the move was good for me on lots of levels, though there were a few downsides. That's usually how life goes anyway so I'm not surprised.

I'm going to be home on the upcoming 8th, I've already gotten the Greenfield house for the night. If ya'll want to party be there at 7ish or later and I'm afraid that it's BYOB. Sorry. You should be able to recognize me though. I'll be the guy with the tan and the longish (getting longer) hair.

Man, life is pretty damn good. Hope you all are well and maybe I'll see you soon.

Ready, set , out!

Pass the pen there Billy Bob...

and I'll write us up a song.
Or perhaps I'll pen a sonnet,
if the melody sits all wrong.

Fellow colleges, distinguished members of the press, ladies and gentlemen.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally and humbly thank
each and every one of you for joining us at this particular event.

It is my hope that we can utilize this meeting of the minds to
successfully convey the essence of our platform to you, a grand and
noble audience. As I look out among the faces, I reflect, taking console in the words
of Franklin Delano Roosevelt who said, "We have nothing to fear but Fear itself."
Paranoia is a disease unto itself, and may I add, the person standing
next to you, may not be who they appear to be, so take precaution.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, this is true. Many a young person
has fallen prey to the substances that alter the perspective of any
Right thinking individual. The problem with the youth today is, because of their inexperience with the world, they cannot attempt to grasp the ideals set forth by
Myself and those who preceded me.

But, as history has shown, they will come around and embrace our
philosophies and become model citizens in their own right. God bless
this great nation.

Les Is More. Out.

And who is the master of fox hounds?

And who says the hunt has begun?
And who calls the tune in the courtroom?
And who beats the funeral drum?

The bachelor party was cool. Pretty decent turn out though nothing huge. Pain Cave jammed for about an hour or so and Molly's dad picked up the extra guitar to help us out. He's pretty damn good. We played some old tunes off the old "Hurt Locker" album and free-styled for a bit. Played some cards, did some drinking, good time.

When I got there most people were still laughing about the wicked lame excuse someone pulled for not heading out. Like for a second anyone was going to believe that they didn't have alternate transportation means. It was decided before I got there that they were pretty fucking chumpy and nobody was at all surprised that they didn't show. I agreed. They could have been honest and said something like "We just don't feel like it," or "I'm too lazy and self centered to care" or "I'm a sucking void of motivation". Hell, at least I would have respected the honesty.

My buddy is getting married, like I'm not going to show up to his bachelor party and have a good time with him and give him my support. It's a huge moment in his life, I think that I could take a little time out of mine and hang out. After all the getting psyched about other people's projects and all the contributions he's kicked in over the years, I owe it to him. Mostly though, it's because I consider him my friend.
Anyway...

Adh na neireannach Brenz and Molly. (sorry Molly. I don't know the word for Scottish) Have a good wedding. It took me three days to remember this, please forgive any errors.
Somewhere along the way, a few years ago, things went terribly wrong somehow. A big old spiral of crap.

On a day like today the memories drift through my head. Mostly I'm just left amazed in a sad way and I catch myself shaking my head a lot.
A Note on cleaning...

Hi, my name is Matty and I don't like to clean.

I like things fairly orderly which often times doesn't mesh well with the above, so I resort to other tactics. Tactics like building something, or reading, or cruising around in The Car which are all specifically designed to promote and exonerate that special feeling we call "Who gives a shit, I'll get to it later."

Because we all need that once in a while and I swing it with aplomb. You ask, "Has it ever gotten me in trouble?" Ahh, the tale.

I remember the sound of the choppers over my home, the SWAT teams breaking through my windows, of being cuffed in the orange jump suit at my trial. I remember the words of Hangin' Judge Magurk as he called my "But why make it if I'm just going to sleep in it later?" defense 'flawed at best.' I still recall vividly the time I spent in a triple max lock-down for what society labels a crime. Rapidly I learned out how to make a shiv out of soap and shoelaces lest I be sold for a few cigarettes while also enjoying free cable and earning a degree in economics. Hard times my friends, hard times. But the only way to beat the streets is to be meaner than they are and I survived my 10 years intact until release.

I hope you understood the moral of this post if only in the hopes that, if you did, you can tell it to me. Because I don't know what it was. I'm off to bed, the one which some still call unmade. I (and my lawyer) now refer to it as "Speed-Load Compliant".

Good night and God save the Queen.

Saturday Afternoon Lights...

Played ball today on the 70 yd field. After a review with the boyz at work here's the final stats for all of you that have me (Delta Team #88) in your fantasy touch football league.

Defense;
3 Swats, 2 blown coverages, 2 def pass interference calls

Offense;
Receiving- 1 catch for 60 yds and 1 TD.
Passing- 280 yds passing, 4 TDs, 0 times sacked
Rushing- 1 yd.

Side notes- 5 times called a "mugger", 5 times called a "cheap suit", 1 leg tweak, 1 shot to the hooha.
Personal notes- Actual times a "mugger"-8. And the leg tweak is, in truth, a slowly inflaming groin pull.
Game- 49 to 35
Season of Delta Team vs. Bravo Squad= 5 - 1.

Only two games left. The day after Thanksgiving is our Super Bowl.

Doom, Beer and Oompa Loompa...

Were my big three on the offensive line in Quarterback club 98' on my N64. They protected my QB Death and allowed him time to launch 60 yard bombs to my receivers Hands and Freaky Z or to my tight-end One Leg.

Oh it was good, make no mistake. The important stats per game on average against opposition were 6 sacks, 3 injured players, 64 pts per game, 500+ yards passing, 100+ yards rushing. I'm pretty sure I crippled some coaches in there somewhere as well.

The Beat Squad went 16-0 and won the Super Bowl.

Why do I mention this? I played in our first football game today and filled two of my favorite positions, corner back and wide receiver. It, as well, was good.

Offensively I hauled in 13 out of 15 passes for 130 yards, nailed 2 touchdowns and was never picked off.

Defensively I was swatting balls like a kid seizuring from anime while mugging the crap out of the guys 'Night Train' Lane style. Apparently there is no such thing as defensive pass interference in touch football. Advantage, me baby.

Trash was talked, we had a controversial touchdown that needed review, No-Huddles were thrown around like candy at a parade, but in the end my team (Scherlin, Brunt, myself) won 28 to 21 over Johnson, Carney and Shattuck. Next week 5 more guys are showing up. This is going to rock.

Tasteless joke of the day- "Why does Michael Jackson like twenty eight year olds? Because there's twenty of them."

I'm sore, tired, and very alive right now. Hot damn.

Zamael #11

And blythe emails prompt responsive fire. Case in point, tonight. I get a lot of what I like to call mental junk mail. It's a bunch of co-worker driven spam that runs along the lines of "Live every day like it's your last." or "favorite things should be flowers, friends and baby's laughter". Usually though this ilk is poured out in some mush ball story with a lame heartfelt moral cliche at the end. Intending to not only at once to be uplifting but also eye opening to the things in life I supposedly take for granted.

Blow me.

I already know these things. I noticed them years ago, O Paragons of Homespun crap. I'm done with the emails. I was done the minute you went to click your little mouse button to send me with this garbage. Write about that you schmoo.

So I decided that, rather than send the above paragraph, I'd learn the language and fire back at these corny yahoos. This is what I sent, albeit stolen mostly whole cloth from another spam.

When you are sad- I will get you drunk and help you plot revenge on those who made you sad.
When you are blue- I will try to dislodge whatever is blocking your windpipe.
When you smile- I'll know you were not shot down for once.
When you are scared- I will mock you about it every chance I get.
When you are worried- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be and tell you to shut the hell up.
When you are confused- I will use little words to explain.
When you are sick- Stay the hell away from me. I don't want whatever you have.
When you fall- I will point and laugh at your clumsy dumb ass. Unless you were drunk, then I'm probably the one who pushed you.

I sent this with the instructions to forward it to 8 people who they really liked and warned them of the Pain Pipes. I hope the fluffies get the message. DO YOU HEAR ME NOW FLUFFIES! Bitch.

Zamael.

I've got the urge to play Axis & Allies again. I'm going to buy a second copy and try another "Allies on one, Axis on the other= Fog of War" scenario. So, who is doing what this weekend? I think it's MJ if memory serves, but there should be enough people kickin' around that I could get a game running anyway. 'Cides if I run a game, it gives Nomad a break from GMing.

Hell, we could even grill or something as well.

E M, e A
Z

I Have A Dream...

Well, I had one at any rate.

It started at 10 a.m. I know this because I woke myself up to check the time since I tend to dream before waking. Seeing the time, I put myself back to sleep and picked up where I'd left off. When I woke up again it was 3p.m. and my alarm was going off.

I've always wondered how dream time passes vs. real time. I had a solid, sustained, color dream with smell that lasted three "dream days" in five hours. I know because in dreamland I gave myself a watch and checked the sun/moon and time frequently. I still remember 95% of the content. Oh yeah.

That's a fricken 7.2 to 1 ratio of time. I wonder if that's my norm? Eh, maybe I'll try some other time down the road to figure it out.

What I did learn in general is this very special fact. My subconscious (and now probably me as well)has a facination with, among other things;

Black Lamborghinis, chocolate, flying, swords, French and Italian food, wine, Kylie Minogue and Christina Ricci.

You're wicked high if you think I put those in order ;).

Enter Moniker, exit Author.
Zamael.

This way comes.

Me and the Nomad are having a party for his housewarming as well as for Hank's and Jen F's Bdays. He's (The Nomad) said that he posted to his journal so I figured I'd post to my old one as well. Blanket coverage. Anyway, I sent out a bunch of emails Monday with invites, figured this was a decent follow up.

Food from the grill, booze (byob is best just in case), volley ball, boccie, music, snacks, and horseshoes if I can get the pits in in time. Supposed to be good weather so things are starting around 5 pm. If you want to drop in before then you'll have to call to see if I'm home, but other than that I don't mind in the least.

Oh, and ignore the crop circle. I do. Besides it's filling in again so why worry.
